CESO President Ryan Stromberg brings more than 25 years of human resources and leadership expertise to his role. His background includes serving as an executive leader in public education since 2007 and as an executive coach for the past decade, providing him with a distinctive understanding of organizational development and leadership. Joining CESO in 2022, Ryan has held several key leadership positions, including Chief Strategy Officer, Vice President of Human Resources, and Co-CEO, before assuming his current role.
Driven by a professional passion for building collaborative relationships with district leaders, Ryan seeks to rethink what’s possible within the education system. His professional approach at CESO is rooted in the core values of curiosity, inclusivity, and sincerity. These principles are embraced by the entire CESO team and drive their efforts to help clients improve operations, increase efficiency, and deliver superior educational services within their districts.
Ryan holds a master's degree in Organizational Development & Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. He has served as president of the Minnesota Association for School Personnel Administrators (MASPA), a testament to his leadership and respected standing among his peers. Ryan's early career included owning Walker Thomas Consulting, where he provided executive coaching and consulting services to help organizations maximize their productivity.
During his free time, Ryan enjoys coaching his two sons in sports, playing golf, and any activity that involves a lake in Minnesota. He lives in Medina, Minnesota, with his wife, Katy, and their boys.
