Brooklyn Center Community Schools (BCCS) needed an updated strategic plan - one that doubled down on the district’s anti-racist aspirations and put BCCS students at the center. Engagements with key stakeholders made it clear that the district’s guiding language – its mission, vision and core values – needed to be overhauled before tackling the strategic plan. We leaned into the newly developed district brand to help district leaders uncover and come to consensus on a new mission, vision and core values that they can proudly stand by. The new language was rolled out to the BCCS community through a multiple channel campaign and we continue to help implement engagement plans and tell stories about the important changes and impact on BCCS students. Next up, tackling the development and implementation of a new non-traditional strategic plan!

District 191 has a nationally recognized Pathways program at their high school and in 2020 decided to expand their Pathways programming to preschool-grade 8 students. They wanted to raise awareness and excitement about the new offerings from staff, current and potential families, the community and local businesses. The Pathways “relaunch” introduced a new Pathways logo, refreshed icons for each of the four Pathways and new brand language, which came to life in a microsite, mailings, social media campaigns and more.

Liberty Elementary School District was searching for a way to recruit potential teachers and hold a virtual job fair where they could introduce candidates to the district, hold interviews and offer contracts on the spot. We developed a unique virtual approach that provides a recruitment experience where candidates could understand the culture at Liberty, chat with current teachers about their experiences and get answers about important details like benefits and beyond before the interview. A social media campaign and employment microsite attracted potential candidates and Liberty saw an uptick in the number of qualified teacher candidates at the event and

“CESO did an excellent job, in the short turnaround time that was given. The feedback that we received from outside as well as inside the organization was very positive. They felt it (the platform) was easy to navigate. The favorite feature of the candidates was the teacher chat room.”
